About me
I am a research associate with Thomas Buchert within the ERC advanced grant ARThUs. I am based at the Centre de Recherche Astrophysique de Lyon (CRAL), jointly hosted by the Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon and Universite Claude Bernard Lyon I. Previously, I was a post-doctoral fellow with Robert Adler at the department of Electrical Engineering at Technion, Israel, within the ERC advanced grant URSAT. I obtained a PhD at the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, University of Groningen, with Rien van de Weygaert, where Gert Vegter and Bernard Jones acted as co-advisors, with Herbert Edelsbrunner as external advisor.
My research interests lie at the cross-disciplinary intersection of cosmology and applied mathematics. On the side of cosmology, I focus on understanding the formation and evolution of cosmic structures, with a view to test the hypotheses of the standard cosmological model, and understand the nature of dark matter and dark energy. Currently, I focus on investigating the Cosmic Microwave Background, as well as the large scale structure of the Universe. On the side of applied mathematics, my research interests include a mixture of topology at the level of homology, and its hierarchical extension persistent homology, as well as integral geometry.
